Choosing the photo

The right photo is the one that looks like the pet you remember: a familiar expression, a favorite spot, a way of sitting. It does not need to be technically perfect.

Older phone photos and pictures saved from messages are often small. Look for the original in your phone gallery or cloud photo library, and run it through the free photo print checker to see whether it will print sharp on the product you have in mind. A slightly soft photo usually looks better on a phone case or mug than on a large poster.

If the best photo is old or a little blurry, choose a smaller product rather than enlarging it. A close portrait of the face suits a phone case or mug; a photo of the whole animal in a familiar place suits a poster.

Which memorial gift to choose

Adding a name or dates

You can add text in the designer, such as the pet's name, their years, or a short line. Keep it simple and check the spelling of the name carefully. On a phone case, keep text away from the camera opening; on a mug, keep it away from the handle.

Giving it to someone else

If the gift is for a friend or relative who lost their pet, use a photo they already love, perhaps one they shared themselves. You can send the gift straight to their address and let them know beforehand that something is on its way.
